Point Cook is a large coastal suburb on the eastern side of Wyndham. Our data lists 59 playgrounds and 69 parks and reserves, three skate parks and a library, with the Point Cooke Marine Sanctuary along its coast.

Landmarks

The coast is the main draw. The Point Cooke Marine Sanctuary covers 292 hectares, and the Hobsons Bay Coastal Trail passes through the suburb. Saltwater Reserve and Boardwalk Park are the biggest local parks, and Boardwalk Park has a skate park. There are also skate parks at Point Cook Coast Skatepark and Newminster Way Park. The Pirate Ship Playground is one of the council's larger district playgrounds. The RAAF Museum is also in Point Cook. For shopping and food, Point Cook Town Centre, Sanctuary Lakes Shopping Centre, Featherbrook Shopping Centre, Boardwalk Central and Tribeca Village are spread across the suburb, and Point Cook Library is right beside the town centre.

Getting around

There's no train station inside Point Cook. Williams Landing and Aircraft stations on the metro Werribee line are each about 3 kilometres from the suburb centre. Buses 494, 495, 496, 497, 498 and 949 run through Point Cook, and 494, 495, 497 and 949 also stop at Williams Landing Station. By car, Hoppers Crossing is about 12 minutes away, Werribee about 14 and the Melbourne CBD about 29, without traffic.
